Have you ever took a 20 hour flight without any in-flight entertainment on board? Well I am (sadly) proud to say we did and survived. Yes, a 7 hour flight to Alaska, and then a 10 hour flight to Taipei with another 3hour flight to Bangkok. I can understand why the 3 hour short haul flight had no personal tv, but WHY must they deprive me of some movies on that 17 hour flight! But I don’t blame China Airlines, but Thai Airways! They did not even bother to contact me about the change of flight details, and ignored two of my emails to change airline Thai Airways assigned us too! Neither did they sound apologetic for the inconvenience caused, treating us like poor pathetic students stuck in a foreign land with no means of returning home and not as their guests who wants a more comfortable mean to get back home after being away for 3 months. And to make things worse, our flight to Alaska was delayed by an hour and a half we only arrived in Taipei at 0718 when our next transiting flight due was departing at 0740. We had NO boarding pass cos we are taking Thai Airways and not China Airlines, and had no clue how to go about getting it! And so we spent the next 15mins running in Taipei(along with the steward that was standing outside our plane holding a card with our names on it), all the way to catch our next flight. Pity the other lady who was running along with us as she had high heels on! ): So many of the passengers were giggling cos we were quite a sight as even the steward was running throughout! But well, at the very least we managed to board our flight on time. On a much much lighter note, jo and I bought something for each other as a souvenir for this Work and Travel USA trip! A white zirconia stone ring of the same cubic design! Pretty right! =D So thanks Joanne! (: And we both realized we are a size 4 after the lady in the jeweler shop measured our fourth finger! (: What a sweet coincidence! 3 more days in Thailand for some traditional Thai Massage, manicure, peidicure and some food and retail therapy before heading home! =D
